Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly as a Hostess, managing reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to minimize wait times.
- Take and relay customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring prompt service.
- Serve food and beverages with professionalism and attentiveness, maintaining high standards of food handling and sanitation.
- Support servers by bussing tables promptly, resetting dining areas swiftly to prepare for new guests.
- Deliver food runners’ orders efficiently from kitchen to table, ensuring presentation and temperature are maintained.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities through effective suggestive selling techniques like OpenTable or upselling strategies.
- Maintain excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service roles such as server, host/hostess, busser, or food runner within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy shifts.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is a plus for understanding food preparation and presentation standards.
