Temporary Shipping & Receiving Associate (Potential for Permanent Hire)
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to provide short-term coverage for a two-week assignment. This position is responsible for processing domestic and international shipments, receiving incoming materials, maintaining accurate shipping and receiving records, and supporting daily warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working with shipping documentation, inventory tracking, and Microsoft 365 applications. Short-Term Coverage Assignment (2 Weeks):
Shipping & Receiving Coverage Responsibilities
- Process and ship all domestic (U.S.) and international customer orders.
- Pick, pack, and prepare products according to customer requirements, including verification of catalog numbers, lot numbers, quantities, and expiration dates.
- Ensure products are shipped in compliance with specific customer lot-control and expiration-date requirements.
- Create and process shipping labels, return labels, and related shipping documentation.
- Prepare commercial invoices and customs documentation for international shipments and customs clearance.
- Coordinate shipments with carriers to ensure timely pickup and delivery.
- Receive incoming purchased products and materials.
- Process customer returns and route products for Quality inspection when required.
- Store incoming inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Operate shrink-wrap equipment for packaging and shipment preparation.
- Perform basic shrink-wrap machine maintenance and report equipment issues as needed.
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records.
- Follow all company safety, quality, and warehouse procedures.
- Must be proficient in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and related tools) for shipping documentation, recordkeeping, communication, and reporting.
Long-Term Position Requirements:
Warehouse, Inventory & Logistics Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain inventory of products and shipping supplies.
- Conduct inventory counts, reconciliations, and inventory accuracy checks.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs.
- Identify, segregate, and dispose of expired products in accordance with company procedures.
- Store and organize products by catalog number, lot number, and expiration date.
- Ensure proper stock rotation utilizing FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory practices.
- Maintain organized warehouse storage locations and inventory tracking.
- Support shipping and receiving activities as business needs require.
- Maintain general warehouse organization, cleanliness, and efficiency.
- Assist with continuous improvement of warehouse processes and storage systems.
- Adhere to all quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Must be proficient in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and related tools) for inventory management, reporting, documentation, communication, and record retention.
Pay: From $17.50 per hour
