Position Purpose
This non-exempt, hourly position is responsible for supporting various human resource functions within McElroy's to ensure that HR operations run efficiently and in alignment with company goals. One function of this role is payroll processing. Additionally, this role could assist in recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration and additional HR admin tasks. The HR Coordinator will assist the HR department in fostering a positive workplace culture and ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties
1. Responsible for payroll processing, including supporting documentation, withholding payments and employee records. This includes the following:
- Process employee payroll entry and timesheets.
- Payroll deductions and garnishment orders.
- Process PTO requests.
- Respond to unemployment notices
- Verification of employment and wages.
- Union wage updates, union reporting and certified payroll
2. Support HR Manager and HR Generalist with (as needed) :
- New hire paperwork and system entry
- Form I-9s and E-Verify entry.
- Benefit Administration
- Recruiting
- Onboarding
- Employee Records - File Maintenance
- Terminations
3. Responsible for various other duties, which includes:
Qualifications
1. Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
2. Knowledge:
- Microsoft Office required.
- SharePoint preferred
- ERP/HRIS systems such as Sage or Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred.
3. Experience:
- Data administration skills preferred.
- 1 year in Human Resources is preferred.
- 1 years experience with payroll preferred.
4. Skills and abilities:
- Time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Work well in a team environment
- Able to maintain confidential information
- Managing competing demands
Physical Demands:
Exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing.
Work Environment:
Normal office environment with little discomfort due to such factors as noise, heat, dust, or other adverse factors.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
