Overview
Spenceton Educational Evaluation Services is placing a Speech‑Language Pathologist with a Houston‑area school district for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a 1099 independent contractor role focused solely on speech and language evaluations aligned with the district’s academic calendar.
Responsibilities
- Administer and interpret speech, language, and communication assessments for students referred for special education evaluation
- Prepare clear, compliant evaluation reports summarizing findings and recommendations
- Attend ARD/IEP meetings to present results to parents, teachers, and administrators
- Collaborate with Diagnosticians, LSSPs, and campus staff throughout the evaluation process
- Complete all assessments and reports within state and district timelines
Qualifications
- Active TDLR license as a Speech‑Language Pathologist; ASHA CCC preferred
- Experience conducting school‑based evaluations in Texas is a plus
- Strong written communication and report‑writing skills
- Must clear a background check (IdentoGO/TEA fingerprinting)
- Reliable transportation for travel between campuses
Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
