Job Summary:
The Executive Business Analyst is a highly visible hybrid role that combines business and financial analysis with hands-on executive, reporting, communications, and project support. Working directly with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team (ELT), this individual contributes across a broad range of analytical, financial, communications, and strategic initiatives that shift with the priorities of the business.
A significant responsibility will be coordinating and preparing the Company's monthly operating report for its private equity sponsor, Knox Lane, and the Board of Directors package. The role requires gathering and analyzing information from business leaders, synthesizing management commentary, and transforming multiple inputs into concise, accurate, and professionally written executive reports and presentations.

Key Responsibilities:
Executive SupportCoordination

Serve as a versatile, day-to-day support resource to the CEO and executive leadership team.

Draft and manage emails, correspondence, agendas, briefing materials, and presentations.

Track action items, deadlines, and follow-ups across multiple projects and stakeholders.

Conduct research, coordinate shifting priorities, and handle confidential information with discretion.
Analytics, ReportingFinancial Analysis
-
Build and maintain executive dashboards, scorecards, KPI reporting, Excel models, and forecasts.

Analyze financial and operational performance across business units, branches, service lines, and markets - including variance, profitability, budgeting, and scenario analysis.

Monitor operational KPIs (e.g., revenue growth, margin, technician utilization, service-agreement retention, quote conversion, backlog) and work with operational leaders to understand what is driving results.

Translate data into concise observations and actionable recommendations and prepare supporting materials for leadership meetings and operating reviews.
BoardPrivate Equity Reporting

Coordinate and prepare the Company's monthly operating report for Knox Lane, working closely with the CEO, CFO, ELT, and business-unit leaders to gather required financial, operational, and KPI information.

Analyze monthly performance and assist management in developing clear explanations of results, key variances, business trends, risks, opportunities, management actions, and forward-looking expectations.

Gather comments and input from ELT members and synthesize multiple perspectives into a cohesive, concise, and professionally written management narrative.

Develop and maintain executive-quality PowerPoint presentations, charts, tables, executive summaries, and supporting analyses for monthly operating reviews.

Coordinate preparation of the Board of Directors package, including gathering materials from leadership, validating information, organizing content, editing management commentary, and producing a polished and consistent final presentation.

Work directly with the CEO and CFO to continuously improve the quality, consistency, accuracy, and effectiveness of Board and private equity reporting, including maintaining reporting calendars, deliverables, source information, and version control.

Develop a strong understanding of the business so reporting explains not only what happened, but why it happened, what management is doing about it, and what is expected going forward.
ExecutiveCorporate Communications

Draft company-wide and executive communications on behalf of the CEO - on performance, priorities, organizational changes, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives.

Translate executive direction into clear, professional written materials and maintain a consistent executive voice.

Communicate complex financial or operational topics in language meaningful to employees at every level. (Strong business writing is essential; a communications background is not required.)
AI, TechnologySpecial Projects
-
Actively use modern AI and productivity tools to draft, summarize, research, and automate - while independently validating facts, calculations, and conclusions.

Support special projects such as acquisition analysis and integration, strategic planning, competitive research, and operational, compensation, or organizational analysis.

Take on other assignments as priorities change; judgment, accuracy, and accountability remain the responsibility of the individual.
Strategic TransactionsPrivate Equity Support

Support future strategic transactions involving the Company and its private equity sponsor, including a potential recapitalization or ownership transition.

Coordinate the collection of financial, operational, customer, sales, workforce, and other business data from leaders throughout the organization.

Work with the CEO, CFO, Knox Lane, investment bankers, transaction advisors, and other external professionals to fulfill information and analysis requests.

Build, maintain, analyze, and validate detailed schedules and data sets used throughout a transaction process, and assist with management presentations, diligence materials, and data-room content.

Analyze historical performance, KPIs, customer information, business trends, and other data needed to support the Company's investment story and transaction process.

Maintain detailed trackers of information requests, deliverables, responsibilities, deadlines, and outstanding items, helping ensure information provided to external parties is accurate, consistent, complete, and appropriately presented.

Core Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Analytics, or another analytical discipline.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to develop executive-quality analyses, charts, presentations, and reporting materials.

Strong business writing and editing skills, with the ability to organize complex or incomplete information and synthesize comments from multiple executives into clear, concise, professional reports.

Ability to understand financial and operational data and translate quantitative results into an executive-level narrative; exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies across data, commentary, and presentation materials.

Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management across shifting priorities.

High professionalism, judgment, and discretion; comfort working directly with senior executives.

Intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in how businesses operate.
Preferred Qualifications:

1 - 4 years of relevant experience preferred in analytics, finance, consulting, operations, accounting, transaction advisory, or a related field (internships count).

Advanced Excel / financial modeling and strong PowerPoint presentation-development skills.

Experience with generative AI tools; exposure to PE-backed or multi-location service organizations.

Progress toward or completion of an MBA, CPA, or CFA is a plus (not required).
