Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. Duties
- Assist attorneys with case preparation by organizing and managing legal documents, pleadings, and discovery materials using document management systems such as OneDrive and Filevine.
- Draft, proofread, and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail.
- Manage case files by maintaining accurate records of filings, court deadlines, and procedural requirements in compliance with procedural law standards.
- Coordinate client interviews and witness statements through effective interviewing techniques while handling confidential information with utmost discretion.
- Support project management efforts by tracking case progress, preparing status reports, and assisting in meeting deadlines for multiple litigation matters.
- Provide executive administrative support including calendar management, scheduling court appearances, preparing reports, and handling general clerical tasks such as data entry, filing, and phone etiquette.
Requirements
- Proven paralegal experience or legal administrative experience supporting litigation teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of procedural law across various practice areas such as personal injury law.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
- Exceptional writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; proofreading expertise is essential.
- Effective client communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette.
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while demonstrating strong attention to detail in document review and data entry tasks.
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with familiarity with legal case management software such as Filevine.
- Knowledge of civil litigation procedures .
