Lead a High-Performing, Established Hotel
We are seeking an experienced, results-driven General Manager to lead our well-established Hampton Inn in Pontiac, Illinois.
This is an opportunity for a proven hospitality leader to take the helm of a high-occupancy, successful property with an established operation and a strong foundation. We are looking for a General Manager who can maintain high standards while continuing to drive revenue, profitability, guest satisfaction, team performance, and overall operational excellence.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who understands the business of hospitality—someone who is comfortable analyzing financial performance, developing their team, maintaining Hilton brand standards, controlling costs, and identifying opportunities to take an already successful hotel to the next level.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and direction for all hotel operations
- Maintain and strengthen the property’s high occupancy and overall performance
- Drive revenue, RevPAR, profitability, and market share
- Monitor hotel financial performance, budgets, labor costs, expenses, and operating results
- Develop strategies to maximize revenue while effectively controlling operating costs
- Recruit, train, coach, and retain a strong hotel leadership and hourly team
- Create a culture of accountability, hospitality, teamwork, and exceptional guest service
- Maintain high guest satisfaction and respond appropriately to guest feedback
- Ensure compliance with Hampton by Hilton brand standards and required quality programs
- Oversee Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Breakfast, and other hotel operations
- Maintain strong standards for cleanliness, property condition, preventative maintenance, and safety
- Work closely with ownership and management to establish goals and provide regular performance updates
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and profitability
- Maintain strong relationships within the local business community and identify opportunities to grow hotel demand
- Lead by example and maintain a visible, engaged presence throughout the property

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous hotel General Manager or senior hotel leadership experience
- Hilton or Hampton by Hilton experience strongly preferred
- Experience managing a high-occupancy hotel environment
- Strong understanding of hotel financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and expense control
- Demonstrated ability to drive revenue, profitability, RevPAR, and guest satisfaction
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations and brand standards
- Proven ability to recruit, develop, motivate, and hold teams accountable
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Strong sense of ownership and urgency
- Ability to balance guest satisfaction, employee engagement, property standards, and financial performance
