- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Student Age Group: Elementary
- Case Load: Approximately 15-25 students with IEPs.
- Provide individual and group counseling to support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Assist students in developing positive coping strategies, social skills, and emotional regulation.
- Address behavioral challenges and attendance concerns through intervention planning and collaboration with families and school staff.
- Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community agencies to connect students with appropriate resources and support services.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 15-25 students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and the development of student support plans.
- Conduct assessments and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines.
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams regarding student needs and intervention strategies.
- Advocate for students and ensure compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and other applicable regulations.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW).
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement.
- Experience working in a school setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of IDEA, IEP processes, and special education regulations.
- Strong communication, collaboration, crisis intervention, and case management skills.
