Registered Nurse (RN) – Chevy Chase Facial Plastic Surgery Practice

Position Overview
We are a premier facial plastic surgery practice seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and highly organized Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role is ideal for a nurse who enjoys providing exceptional surgical patient care while working in a fast-paced, private practice setting.
The RN will serve as a key member of the clinical team, guiding patients through their surgical journey from pre-operative preparation through post-operative recovery. This position works closely with the surgeons on a regular basis to review patient care plans, discuss post-operative progress, and ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive pre-operative appointments and patient education
- Perform post-operative follow-up appointments and recovery assessments
- Meet regularly with surgeons to discuss patient care, recovery progress, and treatment plans
- Call surgical patients following procedures to monitor recovery, answer questions, and communicate concerns to the surgeons
- Perform suture removals and provide post-surgical wound care
- Perform phlebotomy and blood draws (must be experienced and comfortable)
- Assist providers during in-office procedures
- Administer and perform the following treatments:
- Hydrafacial
- Lymphatic Drainage Treatments
- Dermaplaning
- Microneedling
- Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Treatments
- Aerolase Laser Treatments
- Accurately document patient encounters within the EMR
- Perform patient photography and video documentation
- Maintain sterilization protocols, equipment maintenance, and treatment room turnover
- Ensure treatment rooms remain stocked, organized, and patient-ready
Administrative Responsibilities
- Support assigned providers and clinical workflow
- Assist with social media content capture and patient education materials
- Answer phones and schedule appointments as needed
- Verify invoices and assist with payment processing
- Assist with inventory management and supply control
- Maintain a professional, welcoming, and service-oriented patient experience
What This Position Does Not Include
- No cosmetic injectable treatments (Botox, fillers, or other aesthetic injections)

The Registered Nurse must demonstrate full adherence to OSHA and HIPAA regulations:

- Follow infection control protocols and safety procedures
- Maintain compliance with clinic policies and regulatory requirements
- Promote a safe and professional clinical environment
Professional Development
- Participate in ongoing coaching and performance feedback meetings
- Gain advanced experience in facial plastic surgery and perioperative patient care
- Expand clinical skills in lasers, skincare treatments, phlebotomy, PRP, and surgical recovery management
- Work closely with surgeons and experienced clinical staff in a highly specialized practice
Qualifications
Required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maryland
- Strong phlebotomy skills and experience with blood draws
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong clinical assessment and patient education abilities
- Comfortable multitasking in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Comfortable capturing photos and videos for clinical documentation and marketing purposes
- Annual Flu Vaccine
Preferred
- Prior experience in plastic surgery, facial plastic surgery, dermatology, ENT, or aesthetics
- Experience with EMR systems
- Experience with laser treatments, PRP, microneedling, dermaplaning, Hydrafacial, or similar aesthetic procedures
- Previous procedural or surgical nursing experience

Additional Details
- Private practice setting — not a hospital or operating room environment
- Office Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM – 5:00 PM
