Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assess their vehicle service needs with enthusiasm and professionalism.
- Assist customers in scheduling appointments, explaining service options, and upselling additional services such as oil changes, tire services, or brake repairs
- Support the service team by providing accurate estimates using auto estimating tools and communicating repair details clearly
- Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently while maintaining accuracy and integrity
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, vehicle repairs, and service history for future reference
- Collaborate with mechanics and technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs including diagnostics, transmissions, suspension work, or diesel engine repairs
- Promote automotive products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty
Skills
- Previous dealership experience or familiarity with auto service management is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures such as oil changes, brake repair, alignment, shocks & struts, air brakes, and tire service
- Ability to upsell services confidently while ensuring customer needs are met effectively
- Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in automotive repair or service writing enhances your success in this role
- Familiarity with auto estimating software and sales techniques related to automobile sales
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures including oil changes, suspension work, transmission repairs, and auto body repairs
