Job Summary: Under the direction of the shop foreman the welder is primarily responsible to properly Weld equipment, machinery and on site plant/facility set-up in an efficient and safe manner.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Weld proficiency includes fabrication and on site plant/facility set-up.

Diagnose, rebuild, and repair vehicles and equipment.

Complete major road calls and perform field repairs as well as work in a shop environment.

Maintain tools as required to perform job.

Operate forklift.

Ensure a safe and healthful work environment by keeping assigned area clean from trash and debris at all times.
Education and/or Experience:
-
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Experience with welding, cutting and fabrication
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

Sitting: 10% of time
-
Standing: 60% - 70% of time
-
Climbing: 20% - 30% of the time. This includes shop ladders, equipment access ladders, and climbing under equipment for maintenance.

Weight Lifted: Must frequently be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Heavy items may be required to be lift above one’s head and maneuvered while sitting, kneeling and laying down. For safety, assistance will be provided for heavy objects.

Physical Movement: May frequently be required to walk and work over uneven ground, balance, stoop/crouch, kneel, grab, drag, climb and hold objects.

Speaking / Listening: Needs to be able to communicate effectively with supervision, follow instructions, and understand safety requirements. Needs to be able to hear sounds and recognize difference between them as well as focus on one source of sound and ignore others.

Working Conditions: 70% of time will be spent working in the shop, and 30% will be field/ road call work.
