Job Title: Part-Time Immigration Legal Assistant
Employment Type: Part-Time (15–20 hours per week)

Position Overview
Our immigration law firm is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and compassionate Part-Time Immigration Legal Assistant to support attorneys in providing high-quality legal services to individuals and families navigating the U.S. immigration system. The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities, and committed to delivering exceptional client service while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in preparing and filing immigration applications and petitions with USCIS, EOIR, the National Visa Center (NVC), and U.S. consulates.
- Prepare immigration forms, legal correspondence, affidavits, declarations, and supporting documentation under attorney supervision.
- Communicate with clients regarding appointments and filing requirements.
- Assist the attorney with case preparation.
- Organize, review, scan, and maintain electronic and physical case files.
- Translate legal documents and interpret communications between English and Spanish, as needed.
- Prepare case packets and exhibits for filing with government agencies.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all client information and comply with ethical and professional standards.
- Perform other legal and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant, Immigration Legal Assistant, or Paralegal preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (spoken and written) strongly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel), Adobe Acrobat, and case management software.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff.
