Front Desk Agent / Guest Service Agent – Spark by Hilton Merrillville
Spark by Hilton Merrillville is seeking a friendly, dependable, and professional Front Desk Agent / Guest Service Agent to join our team.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, provides excellent customer service, and can confidently handle the day-to-day responsibilities of a busy hotel front desk.
Previous hotel front desk experience is preferred. Experience with Hilton PEP is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service
- Complete guest check-ins and check-outs
- Manage reservations, room assignments, payments, and guest accounts
- Answer phones and assist with guest questions and requests
- Recognize Hilton Honors members and provide applicable member benefits
- Respond to guest concerns and work to resolve issues during the guest's stay
- Communicate guest requests and maintenance concerns to the appropriate departments
- Maintain accurate information in the hotel property management system
- Assist guests with information about the hotel and surrounding area
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk and lobby area
- Complete shift responsibilities, reports, and other front desk duties
- Communicate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and management
Qualifications
- Previous hotel front desk experience preferred
- Hilton PEP experience strongly preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Dependable and punctual
- Comfortable using computers and learning hotel systems
- Ability to multitask and remain professional in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays as needed
