American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Mother Baby / Post-Partum position at an acute care hospital in Washington State, working night shifts with every-other-weekend requirements.

Acute care hospital setting, Post-Partum / Mother Baby unit with 28 beds
-
Patient population includes postpartum mother/baby couplets, late preterm infants, bili light babies, and preeclampsia patients
-
Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3–4 couplets

Magnesium and insulin drips administered on this unit

EMR: Epic (experience required)

12-hour night shifts, 7p–7a
-
Every other weekend required
-
Holiday rotation as required
-
No floating required
-
Charge nurse on unit; travelers do not serve in charge nurse role

Nurse aide support available every shift
-
OB hospitalist available 24/7; IV team, RT, and pharmacy available 24/7

Active WA state RN license or Compact (NLC) RN license — must be active at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Current BLS and NRP certifications required; pending certifications not accepted

Epic EMR experience required

Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Valid driver's license required for consideration

Unit has a strong focus on postpartum quality bundles including PPH, hypertension management, hypoglycemic infant care, thermoregulation, duramorph, and pain documentation

Hospital-provided blue scrubs

Telemetry monitoring and strip reading not required for this position

Orientation includes an 8-hour Epic class, one office day, and 2–3 shifts on the floor

Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates who worked PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
