Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Healthcare Environmental Services (EVS) Technician to help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment within our skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare housekeeping, with a strong understanding of cleaning, sanitation, infection prevention, and resident safety. In this role, you will play an essential part in supporting the health and well-being of our residents by ensuring resident rooms, common areas, and clinical spaces meet the highest standards of cleanliness. Working as part of our care team, you will help create a welcoming environment for residents, families, staff, and visitors while adhering to infection control guidelines and safety protocols.

Our facility includes:
- 1 Vent/Trach unit
- 2 Short-Term Care units
- 5 Long-Term Care units
- Approximately 175 residents total

Responsibilities Include:
- Perform thorough cleaning and disinfecting of patient rooms, corridors, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following OSHA guidelines and safety protocols to prevent contamination or injury.
- Operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers, extractors, and other equipment to maintain high standards of floor care and sanitation.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to address specific sanitation needs while providing excellent customer service to patients and visitors.
- Adhere strictly to environmental services protocols aimed at infection prevention and control within healthcare settings.
Qualifications
- Previous janitorial or housekeeping experience in healthcare
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Pass a background check and employment verification check
- Must be able to walk many steps each day across a large building and be able to perform moderate lifting tasks
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
