Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our culinary team as a line cook. This role is essential in delivering high-quality food service and ensuring that our food standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and service, with an emphasis on fine dining experiences. The line cook will play a key role in cooking in fast paced meal preparation, and maintaining food safety standards.
Duties
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes while ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Handle food safely, adhering to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Assist in catering events, providing exceptional service and attention to detail.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized.
- Utilize knife skills effectively for meal preparation, ensuring precision and safety in food handling.
- Provide support to the management department by assisting with inventory management and supply ordering as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in within the food industry is preferred.
- Strong background in cooking, food preparation, and fine dining service is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with catering services will be considered an asset.
- Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high standards of food safety.
- Experience in restaurant or culinary settings is beneficial, showcasing versatility in various cooking techniques and styles.
