Join our dedicated team as a Direct Support Professional working the 7AM to 3PM shift in the Mt. Washington area! In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, individualized care to individuals with developmental disabilities, seniors, and residents in assisted living or long-term care settings. Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications following proper protocols and document medication administration accurately
- Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents’ health stability
- Provide personalized behavioral management strategies
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal consumption while maintaining a clean and safe environment in accordance with health standards
- Support residents’ social engagement by encouraging participation in activities that promote mental and emotional well-being
- Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas through regular cleaning routines to ensure a hygienic living space
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and memory support techniques
- Ability to perform first aid and respond effectively in emergency situations
- Strong understanding of medication administration procedures and vital signs monitoring
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring specialized support
- Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation purposes
- Excellent caregiving skills combined with patience, compassion, and strong communication abilities
- Ability to operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts safely and confidently
- Valid driver’s license for transportation duties when required
- Experience in group home settings or personal care homes is highly desirable

Pay: $16.50 - $17.00 per hour
