Trailhead Integrated Services is seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical Director to provide clinical leadership and oversight for our start-up behavioral health agency. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician who enjoys developing programs, supporting other professionals, and helping shape the clinical culture of a new organization.

Position Overview
The Clinical Director is responsible for ensuring that Trailhead's clinical services are high-quality, ethical, trauma-informed, and compliant with applicable licensing, payer, and professional requirements. The Clinical Director provides clinical leadership, supervision, consultation, and quality oversight while working closely with the Executive Director and agency leadership.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide clinical leadership and oversight of behavioral health services.
Provide or coordinate required clinical supervision and consultation.
Support therapists and other clinical staff with complex cases, treatment planning, crisis situations, and clinical decision-making.
Review clinical documentation for quality, accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
Monitor adherence to treatment, documentation, confidentiality, and professional standards.
Assist with development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
Support staff development, training, and clinical competency.
Promote trauma-informed, family-centered, culturally responsive, and evidence-based care.
Assist leadership with regulatory surveys, audits, credentialing, and clinical compliance.
Maintain awareness of applicable payer, and professional licensing requirements.
Collaborate with community providers and other professionals as appropriate.
Participate in hiring, onboarding, and evaluation of clinical staff.
Ensure appropriate continuity and quality of client care.
Qualifications
Required:
Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or another applicable behavioral health discipline.
Current unrestricted West Virginia professional license that permits independent clinical practice and supervision within the individual's scope of practice.
Behavioral health clinical experience.
Strong understanding of clinical documentation, treatment planning, ethics, confidentiality, and professional standards.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to successfully complete all required background checks and agency onboarding requirements.
Preferred:
Previous clinical supervision or leadership experience.
Experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
Registered Play Therapist
Experience with Medicaid-funded behavioral health services.
Knowledge of West Virginia behavioral health regulations and licensing requirements.
Experience with trauma-informed and community-based services.
