Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Care Aides to provide exceptional support and assistance to clients in their homes. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately
- Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary
- Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to safely transfer clients with mobility challenges
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment by performing light cleaning duties in accordance with health standards
- Document care activities, update care plans, and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and family members
Qualifications
- Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, or long-term care environments; group home experience is a plus
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs accurately
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is desirable.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client privacy and confidentiality at all times
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks involved in patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or other special needs preferred
- Strong communication skills, patience, compassion, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
