We are accepting applications for motivated Machine Operators willing to learn and operate bindery machinery. This opening is for full-time on second shift, which runs from 3:00pm-11:30pm Monday – Friday.
Printing and bindery finishing is a trade requiring the right skillset. The most successful new employees are those who are mechanically inclined and like to understand “how things work.”
What would your day look like at Grit? After a quick meeting with team members and production management you would work on bindery finishing equipment to ensure product is making its way out the door on schedule. Often you will find yourself operating different equipment throughout the day depending on customer needs. Additionally, you will perform assigned preventative maintenance to the equipment on a weekly basis. This position requires you to complete DOT physical in order to receive medical card to drive our mail truck.
Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Machine operator experience preferred, but not required
· Desire to learn new skills and grow
· Valid Driver’s license
· Willing to complete DOT physical to drive our truck
Knowledge & Skills
· Personal integrity
· Strong work ethic and ability to maintain good attendance to help meet required deadlines
· Ability to communicate effectively and willingness to work well with all team members
· Show adaptability and perform problem solving skills
· Ability to understand oral and written instructions
· Ability to perform basic math
· Mechanical ability a plus
