Job Summary Nurse performs the duties required to care for clients; carries out medical orders prescribed by the physician that require an understanding of practical nursing duties and best practices.
Duties Include
- RN Administer medication as prescribed by a physician
- RN Take vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and weight
- RN Basic wound care including cleaning and bandaging injured areas
- RN Give injections of medication
- RN Immunizations
- RN Take medical histories
- RN Enter information into computer systems
- Follow supervisory directives
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Chart client care
- Account for narcotics, barbiturates and other accountable drugs
- observe clients closely for reaction to drugs, treatment, any other unusual conditions
- Notifies the physician or supervisor as to any new condition of the client requiring medical attention
LICENSE: Possession of a valid registration as Registered Nurse in New Jersey
