OEM/Miller fabricates corrugated plastic and rubber tubing for a wide variety of industries including appliance, truck and auto, medical and machining manufacturing. We supply both standard convoluted plastic tubing and a wide variety of specially engineered products to meet the most demanding specifications and the trickiest engineering requirements including complex assemblies, our patent-pending co-extrusion dual-material products and specialty cuffs.
SUMMARY
Take new products through part design and cost estimating. Coordinate all efforts in designing and purchasing production tooling and equipment. Assist in maintaining, updating, and filing all company drawings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following(other duties may be assigned):
Generate and maintain project files showing changes and timing.
Complete engineering section of cost estimating sheets.
Produce all necessary part and tool drawings.
Contact suppliers for tooling and machinery quotes.
Order and track prototype and production tooling.
Maintain and update drawing file as needed.
Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks.
Report suggested process improvements, safety hazards and equipment problems to the Engineering Manager.
Practice good housekeeping and safety rules.
Perform all other such duties and special assignments as may be requested by the Engineering Manager.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum of an Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have knowledge of two dimensional drawing techniques, blueprint reading, etc. Strong computer skills with a proficiency in auto cad and Pro E.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
May be required to travel on occasion.
