Duties
- Greet customers warmly and offer expert advice on lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, floral design, and outdoor tools
- Assist customers with product selection by identifying their needs and recommending suitable solutions
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems for cashiering, cash handling, and processing transactions accurately
- Maintain organized merchandise displays, stock shelves, and ensure products are properly labeled and merchandised to attract shoppers
- Support inventory management through stocking, inventory checks, and organizing stockroom areas
- Provide knowledgeable assistance in plant identification and horticulture-related questions to enhance customer satisfaction
- Engage in outdoor work activities such as landscaping support or garden setup when needed
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in outdoor or garden centers
- Knowledge of lawn care, landscape maintenance, horticulture, or floral design is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, retail math, and merchandising techniques
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Experience with phone communication and customer service to effectively address inquiries both in-store and remotely
- Outdoor work experience related to gardening or landscape projects is advantageous
- Organizational skills to manage stock levels, organize displays, and maintain a clean store environment
