Title: Human Resources Manager
Location: Middlesex, NJ
Salary Range: $100-130K
The Human Resources (HR) Manager plans, oversees, coordinates, and provides a broad range of HR expertise, including employee relations, HR policies implementation and development, payroll, benefits administration, recruiting and hiring, performance reviews, Human Resources Management System (HRMS) administration and other HR functions, across all the company’s locations. The position ensures that HR processes align with company business needs and goals as well as ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures that align with organizational goals and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Provide HR guidance and support to management, managers/supervisors, and employees regarding employee relations, performance management, disciplinary actions, workplace complaints, and other HR matters.
- Manage recruiting and hiring activities, including job postings, resume review, interviews, background and reference checks, offer letters, onboarding, and employee separations.
- Administer and maintain the company’s HRMS, employee records, organizational staffing chart, personnel information, and HR-related reporting.
- Manage bi-weekly and monthly payroll administration, including employee data, time and attendance, deductions, payroll discrepancies, tax issues, 401(k) funding, bonus calculations, and payroll reporting.
- Administer employee benefit programs, including health and life insurance, long-term disability, 401(k), PTO, COBRA, leave of absence programs, FMLA, workers’ compensation, and related employee inquiries.
- Coordinate the annual performance review, merit increase, and bonus processes and assist management with personnel cost budgeting and workforce planning.
- Maintain required employment records and prepare government and regulatory filings, audits, reports, and surveys, including EEO-1, OSHA, workers’ compensation, and benefits-related filings.
- Support expatriate employees with payroll, tax coordination, housing, banking, Social Security numbers, driver's licenses, local transportation, orientation, visa/relocation logistics, and communication with the Japan headquarters.
- Coordinate employee training and development programs and perform other HR-related duties as requested, assigned, or directed.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration and other related area.
- Minimum seven (7) years’ related work experience with proven progressive HR Generalist/Manager responsibility.
- Mnium two (2) years’ work experience in processing payroll using third-party payroll system, such as ADP, Paychex, Paylocity etc. preferred.
- Mnium two (2) years’ benefits administration experience preferred.
- PHR, SHRM-CP or a Certificate in Human Resources Management preferred.
