Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Project Manager – Special Projects to support product manufacturing initiatives in a fast-paced industrial environment.
This role will coordinate cross-functional teams to drive product-related projects from planning through execution, ensuring production schedules, engineering requirements, quality objectives, and operational milestones are achieved.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing projects within a manufacturing, engineering, industrial, or product development environment and will be skilled at coordinating activities across engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, and production teams.
Key Responsibilities:
?Manage and coordinate manufacturing projects supporting product development, production improvements, and operational initiatives.
?Track project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and action items to ensure timely completion.
?Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, procurement, and operations teams.
?Support new product introduction (NPI), production readiness, and manufacturing improvement projects.
?Identify project risks, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
?Develop project plans, status reports, dashboards, and executive updates.
?Coordinate design changes, process improvements, and manufacturing implementation activities.
?Facilitate cross-functional meetings and maintain project communication plans.
?Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost, quality, delivery, and operational efficiency.
?Assist leadership with project prioritization, resource coordination, and execution planning.
Required Qualifications:
?3–5+ years of project coordination or project management experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment.
?Experience supporting product-based manufacturing programs.
?Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production schedules, and cross-functional operations.
?Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
?Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
?Experience with project tracking tools and reporting systems.
?Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
?Experience in industrial manufacturing, HVAC, building systems, controls, electronics, or similar product environments.
?Experience supporting:
1. New Product Introduction (NPI)
2. Engineering change management
3. Production launch activities
4. Manufacturing process improvements
5. Supplier coordination
6. Familiarity with Agile, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma methodologies.
?Experience with tools such as:
1. Jira
2. Confluence
3. Smartsheet
4. Microsoft Project
5. SAP or ERP systems
6. PMP, CAPM, Scrum Master, or Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
