Tobacco Company is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead and oversee manufacturing operations during the overnight shift. The successful candidate will provide strong leadership, maintain a safe and compliant work environment, support production goals, and ensure employees follow company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, coach, and support employees during the assigned overnight shift.
- Ensure production activities are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards.
- Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Monitor employee performance, productivity, attendance, and adherence to established procedures.
- Identify and address safety, quality, production, and compliance issues.
- Conduct shift meetings and communicate important information to employees and management.
- Assist with employee training, development, and performance management.
- Ensure proper and safe use of forklifts, production equipment, and other material-handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate production, safety, and compliance documentation.
- Work with other supervisors and management to ensure effective shift transitions.
- Respond appropriately to operational issues and emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial leadership experience preferred.
- Recent forklift operating experience required. Candidate must have personally operated a forklift within the past 6–12 months.
- Demonstrated experience with workplace safety and compliance.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures, employee accountability, and operational compliance.
- Ability to lead, motivate, coach, and hold employees accountable.
- Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work the required overnight schedule.
Schedule & Overtime
- 3pm-Midnight, 10 hours weekly overtime
- Must be available to consistently work the assigned night schedule.
- Mandatory overtime required based on production and business needs.
- Must be willing and able to work additional hours, weekends, holidays, or extended shifts when required.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential to the position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior supervisory experience in tobacco, manufacturing, distribution, or another highly regulated production environment.
- Experience with OSHA-related safety practices and compliance programs.
- Experience with production metrics, quality programs, and continuous improvement.
- Current or recent forklift certification/training.
Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
