Summary
As a Certified Pharmacy Technician at Medicine Shoppe Clarks Summit, you will play a vital role in supporting pharmacy operations and enhancing patient care. This position is essential for ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications while providing excellent service to our patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards of practice.
- Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions and addressing concerns.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure the safety and integrity of compounded medications.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering and restocking supplies as needed.
- Document medication usage and maintain accurate patient records.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care outcomes.
- Stay updated on medical terminology and pharmacy practices to enhance service delivery.
- Store hours: Monday-Friday: 9 AM- 5 PM, Saturday- 9 AM- 1 PM, Closed Sundays and Major Holidays
Qualifications
- Active national Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB CPhT or NHA ExCPT) required.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy operations.
- Proven experience in patient service within a pharmacy or healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and medication dispensing processes.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and team members.
- Experience in acute or critical care settings is a plus but not required.
