Duties
- Greet guests warmly and efficiently, ensuring a positive first impression
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast POS
- Serve food, beverages, a promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items
- Handle transactions accurately through cash handling, credit card processing, and sales transaction processing
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables and assisting with food handling and preparation when needed
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, including food safety
- Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially fine dining or hospitality settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Toast, or similar platforms
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts with multitasking skills in serving, bussing, and cashiering
- Culinary experience or food industry background preferred to better assist guests with menu choices
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Food safety certification and sanitation practices knowledge required or willing to train on site
