Positions Overview
Journey Counseling and Community Services, LLC is urgently hiring motivated Mental Health Professionals to provide community-based services to children, adolescents, adults, and families. Opportunities are available in:
- Functional Family Therapy (FFT)
- Community Psychiatric Support & Treatment (CPST)/ Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR)
Placement is based on qualifications, licensure, and interest.
FUNCTIONAL FAMILY THERAPY (FFT)
Evidence-Based Model | Youth & Families (Ages 10–18)
Responsibilities & Requirements
- Deliver FFT services in homes and community settings!
- Complete required FFT model training
- Participate in weekly team consultation
Wednesdays, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
- Availability for evenings and weekends required.
- Willingness to travel within Tangipahoa, Livingston, and St. Tammany Parishes
(We strive to assign cases within 45 minutes of your residence)
- Ability to provide a minimum of 16 face-to-face hours per week
Education
- Master’s degree preferred: Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, or related Human Services field
- Bachelor’s-level candidates with relevant experience will be considered
COMMUNITY PSYCHIATRIC SUPPORT & TREATMENT (CPST)
Full-Time & Part-Time | Multiple Positions Available | Urgently Hiring
Requirements
- Active Louisiana license required: LCSW, LPC, PLPC, LMSW, or CSW
- Provide structured, goal-oriented mental health interventions.
- Serve children and adults with diagnosed mental health conditions.
- Collaborate with caregivers for child and adolescent clients.
- Services provided in home, community, or virtual settings.
- Flexible scheduling available
Supervision
- Full-Time: 4 hours/month
- Part-Time: 1 hour/month
PSYCHOSOCIAL REHABILITATION (PSR)
Full-Time & Part-Time | Multiple Positions Available | Urgently Hiring
Responsibilities
- Provide face-to-face, community-based skill-building services
- Focus on daily living skills, social skills, coping skills, and independence
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:
- Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology
- Rehabilitation Services, Special Education
- Early Childhood or Secondary Education
- Family & Consumer Sciences, Criminal Justice
- Human Growth & Development
OR
- Bachelor’s degree with a minor in Counseling, Social Work, Sociology, or Psychology
- Master’s degrees in the above fields are also accepted
Supervision
- Full-Time: 4 hours/month
- Part-Time: 1 hour/month
