Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that foster early intervention, literacy skills, and social-emotional growth.
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity and active participation among preschoolers.
- Manage classroom routines, behavior management strategies, and daily activities to ensure a positive learning atmosphere.
- Support children’s physical development through teaching physical education activities and promoting healthy habits.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate progress, address individual needs, and support child welfare initiatives.
- Assist with toddler care routines, including feeding, diapering, and nap times, ensuring comfort and safety at all times.
- Maintain detailed records of classroom activities, assessments, and standardized testing results to monitor each child's progress.
Skills
- Strong background in early childhood education with experience in preschool settings or daycare environments.
- Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques.
- Knowledge of special education principles and early intervention strategies tailored for diverse learners.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other educational philosophies such as literacy education or math instruction for young children.
- Ability to work with children across different developmental stages including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Experience in behavior management techniques that promote positive social interactions.
- Competence in using standardized testing tools to assess developmental milestones and learning outcomes.
