Oroville Reman & Reload Inc. is looking for a motivated Heavy Duty Mechanic Helper to join our Maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude who enjoys working with their hands and wants to build a career maintaining forklifts and heavy industrial equipment.
Working alongside our experienced Heavy Duty Mechanics, you'll assist with preventative maintenance, equipment cleaning, repairs, and shop organization while learning valuable mechanical skills in a fast-paced lumber manufacturing environment.

As a Heavy Duty Mechanic Helper, you will:
- Pressure wash forklifts, engine compartments, and other heavy equipment.
- Clean cabs, air filters, and equipment components.
- Assist mechanics with preventative maintenance including:
- Oil and fluid changes
- Filter replacements
- Tire changes and repairs
- Equipment inspections
- Help maintain accurate maintenance records using company software.
- Keep the maintenance shop clean, organized, and safe.
- Return tools and equipment to proper storage after each job.
- Assist with repairs on gas and diesel-powered forklifts and industrial equipment.
- Help minimize equipment downtime by supporting the maintenance team.
- Follow all company safety policies, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and Safe Work Practices.
Successful candidates will have:

- The ability to work independently after receiving training.
Previous experience in equipment maintenance, automotive repair, diesel mechanics, agriculture, construction, or industrial maintenance is helpful but not required.
This position requires the ability to:
- Lift up to 80 pounds regularly and heavier loads with assistance.
- Climb ladders and work around heavy industrial equipment.
- Stand, bend, kneel, crawl, and work in varying weather conditions.
- Work around noise, dust, grease, diesel equipment, and other conditions common in a lumber manufacturing facility.
