What You’ll Do
- Perform chimney sweeping, inspections, cleaning, and maintenance
- Diagnose chimney and fireplace safety issues
- Perform chimney masonry repairs and restoration work
- Repair or rebuild crowns, caps, flashing, fireboxes, smoke chambers, and related components
- Install chimney caps, dampers, liners, and chimney components
- Waterproof and repair masonry systems
- Document inspection findings with photos and clear explanations
- Educate homeowners on fireplace safety and maintenance
- Work safely on roofs, ladders, and elevated surfaces
- Maintain clean and professional jobsites
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in chimney, masonry, roofing, HVAC, construction, or related skilled trades
- Strong masonry skills are highly preferred
- Comfortable working on roofs and ladders
- Ability to safely perform physical labor in various weather conditions
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to continue learning and growing in the trade
Certifications & Training
The following certifications are preferred but not required:
- CSIA Certified Chimney Sweep
- NFI Certifications
- OSHA fall protection training
- Ladder safety training
- First Aid / CPR
Candidates who do not currently hold certifications must be willing to pursue training and certification with company support.
