Summit Construction & Development LLC is looking for an experienced Mobile Heavy Equipment Mechanic specializing in paving and milling equipment to join our growing fleet and operations team.

This position is ideal for a mechanic with strong field experience, excellent diagnostic skills, and the ability to work independently on active construction job sites.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy civil construction equipment in the field.
Work on paving and milling equipment, including pavers, rollers, milling machines, shuttle buggies, skid steers, loaders, excavators, dozers, and related fleet equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, and emergency repairs.
Respond to equipment breakdowns at job sites to minimize downtime.
Communicate clearly with the Fleet Manager, Service Manager, mechanics, operators, and project teams.
Properly document repairs, parts used, and work performed through the company’s maintenance system.
Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment.
Requirements
Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.
Strong knowledge of paving and milling equipment.
Experience with hydraulic, electrical, diesel engine, DEF, and undercarriage systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment in the field.
Valid driver’s license required.
CDL is a plus.
Must be dependable, safety-focused, and able to work under pressure.
