The Patient Experience Coordinator plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and organized front office environment for patients, families, and referring providers. This position is responsible for managing daily front desk operations, ensuring smooth communication, and supporting our team through accurate scheduling, record management, and administrative coordination.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients with professionalism, warmth, and efficiency.
- Answer incoming calls, route messages, and provide general information about services and appointments.
- Manage provider schedules and coordinate patient appointments, ensuring timely and accurate scheduling.
- Process and manage incoming and outgoing faxes, including prescription refill requests and provider communications.
- Handle medical record requests, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and organizational procedures.
- Verify patient information and maintain accurate electronic medical records.
- Support billing or insurance verification processes as needed.
- Monitor office supplies, maintain front desk organization, and assist with basic administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with clinical and operations staff to ensure a seamless experience for patients and referring partners.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong computer and software skills; experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred.
- Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
- Professional, dependable, and compassionate demeanor.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- The ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a team is required.
