DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Inspects output samples using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions and examining functionality.
· Checks that the assembly or production line adheres to standards and procedures and complies with legal requirements.
· Reviews blueprints and specifications to compare to produced goods.
· Records inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes and inputting data into quality database.
· Trains the production team on quality control measures to improve product excellence.
· Proposes improvements to the production process.
· Monitors the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and discards any that do not meet requirements.
· Updates job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and regular training.
· Keeps measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs.
· Reads and interprets engineering drawings and radiographs.
· Uses gauges such as calipers and micrometers to measure products.
· Collects and compiles statistical quality data.
· Assists in the development of test methods and inspection plans.
· Determines the causes of product defects and reworks.
· Verifies all equipment is calibrated correctly.
· Performs all other duties as assigned.

· Education and/or Experience – High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) and 2+ years ofexperience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Language Skills – Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common accounting and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or regulatory agencies. Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, and/or board of directors. Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication, with supervisor, clients, staff, vendors, etc.
· Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
· Computer Skills – To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
