American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a CVOR position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active GA or compact RN license, with on-call responsibilities and day shift scheduling.

Hospital-based Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) setting

Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
-
On-call required: typically one weekday per week and one weekend every 3–4 weeks

Floating within the facility and within scope of practice as needed

Local candidates are accepted for this position

Active RN license (GA or Compact) required

Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required

Current certifications must be on file and up to date

Must be able to commit to the posted shift with no alternate scheduling requests

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for at least one full year before returning as a travel nurse

RTO maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment

Holiday coverage is expected: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them — major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

Holiday RTO cannot be requested if one or two major holidays occur during the assignment; one holiday RTO request may be reviewed for approval only if three major holidays occur

Travel pairs will not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit

Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to begin on time; delays will result in a two-week pushback due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule
