Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and answer questions about food, beverages, and specials to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Take accurate orders using POS systems, ensuring all special requests are noted clearly.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Upsell menu items and beverages to maximize sales opportunities while providing personalized recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Manage tables effectively by bussing, resetting, and ensuring a smooth flow of service during busy hours.
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by adhering to proper handling procedures and sanitation protocols.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any issues promptly to guarantee a positive dining experience.
Experience
- Prior restaurant or food service experience, including fine dining or nightclub settings, is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is a plus.
- Demonstrated skills in customer service, guest relations, and sales techniques like upselling.
- Experience with food handling, sanitation standards, and basic math for cash handling and cashiering tasks.
- Strong time management skills to juggle multiple tables efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous host/hostess or serving experience in hospitality or food industry settings is advantageous.
