Maintenance Technician
We are looking for an experienced maintenance technician to join our team. In this dynamic role, you will perform repairs, maintenance tasks, make readies and apartment renovations to ensure that our residents are taken care of and that our apartment homes and common areas are well-kept and attractive. Wage is based on skill sets and experience within the offered range. Experience with apartment communities is preferred. This is a fast paced environment, we are renovating many apartments.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with apartment Renovations and unit make readies
- Perform routine maintenance including basic plumbing, electric, carpentry, drywall, painting, appliance repairs, and HVAC maintenance.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair calls from residents
- Maintain communication with the property manager and the resident to ensure customer satisfaction!
- Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on apartment homes, common areas and mechanicals
- Maintain inventory and order any necessary supplies and tools
- Keep maintenance records organized and up-to-date in AppFolio system
- Maintain a tidy and organized maintenance shop
Requirements:
- Experience in maintenance and repair, preferably in an apartment community or similar setting
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC systems, and appliance repair
- Strong customer service skills and friendly attitude
- Ability to be on-call for emergencies outside of working hours, this is not optional
- Valid driver's license
