Winterwood, Inc. is hiring for the role of Lifeguard. The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our pool patrons.
Position Details
- Location: The Monroe Apartments - 940 University Woods Drive, New Albany, IN 47150
- Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
- Stay Bonus: $500 (for those who stay till the end of the pool season)
- Job Type: Temporary/Seasonal (40 hours per week)
- Season Duration: Through Labor Day
- Work Schedule: Pool is open Monday-Sunday 9:00 AM-7:00 PM, flexible hours
What You'll Do
- Maintain constant surveillance of patrons to ensure safety at all times; respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies.
- Provide immediate emergency care and treatment, including first aid and CPR, until emergency medical services arrive.
- Present a professional appearance and positive attitude while delivering excellent customer service.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance duties to ensure a safe and sanitary facility.
- Enforce facility rules and regulations to prevent accidents and maintain order.
- Complete incident reports and other required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in lifeguarding or a related role.
- Current Lifeguard and CPR/AED certifications required.
- Ability to remain calm, alert, and effective in emergency situations.
- Strong knowledge of lifeguarding techniques, rescue procedures, and water safety practices.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical skills assessment.
- Basic administrative and documentation skills.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with the public.
