Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in processing, preparing medications for dispense
- Accurately and efficiently fill prescriptions and medication orders
- Maintain inventory of medications and supplies
- Perform medication reconciliation and review for accuracy
- Provide excellent patient service and answer any medication-related questions
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain aseptic technique when handling medications
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
Requirements:
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician
- Proficiency in medical terminology and knowledge of medication names, dosages, and uses
- Experience in a hospital or outpatient setting is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals
Skills:
- Pharmacy technician certification
- Knowledge of IV infusion procedures (Preferred but not required)
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Experience in critical care or emergency care settings
- Proficiency in medication administration
- Understanding of hospital pharmacy operations
- Strong patient service skills
