Duties
- Skillfully braid hair using various techniques, including traditional, French, Dutch, and intricate protective styles.
- Incorporate hair extensions seamlessly into braiding designs to add volume and length.
- Provide expert consultations on hair care, styling options, and maintenance tips tailored to each client’s needs.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized workspace in compliance with salon sanitation standards to ensure client safety.
- Use salon software such as ACUITY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently.
- Assist with retail sales by upselling hair care products, accessories, and styling tools to enhance client experiences.
- Support front desk operations by greeting clients, managing appointments, and ensuring smooth daily flow of salon activities.
- Stay updated on current hair trends, color theory applications, and new styling techniques to continuously elevate your craft.
- Contribute to a positive team environment through effective communication skills and collaborative spirit.
Requirements
- Proven experience in braiding techniques with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse styles.
- Knowledge of hair extensions application and maintenance for various textures and lengths.
- Familiarity with salon software systems such as ACUITY for appointment booking and retail management.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients of all backgrounds.
- Commitment to sanitation standards including proper sterilization of tools like straight razors and implements.
- Cosmetology license or experienced braider.
Pay: From $22.29 per hour
