- Design assessments, administer standardized tests, and provide constructive feedback to monitor student progress and achievement.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and encourages active participation from students of diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional strategies, and educational technology integration to enhance overall teaching effectiveness.
- Engage in ongoing professional development, research best practices in science and math education, and stay current with educational compliance regulations.
- Mentor students through academic advising, tutoring sessions, and support for special education needs or behavioral challenges as needed.
Requirements
- Experience teaching high school mathematics with a strong understanding of curriculum implementation and classroom management technique
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, mentoring students, and engaging parents or guardians when necessary.
