We are seeking an Anesthesia Technologist to support the Department of Anesthesiology by ensuring anesthesia equipment, medications, and supplies are properly prepared, maintained, and available for patient care. This role requires strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and willingness to learn anesthesia procedures and equipment.
This role involves occasional patient contact and collaboration with anesthesia providers in both OR and non-OR settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and stage anesthesia equipment and supplies in operating rooms prior to patient arrival, based on case type, patient age, and procedure length
- Set up, calibrate, operate, and troubleshoot moderate to advanced anesthesia equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of anesthesia equipment and ensure availability of specialized supplies
- Stock and manage anesthesia medications and supplies in workrooms and mobile carts
- Set up and support anesthesia services for procedures performed outside of the operating room
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in a technical discipline or
- An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Schedule flexibility required due to the nature of the procedures performed in both inpatient (hospital) and outpatient surgeries.
