Duties
- Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, updating records, and verifying insurance information using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision and professionalism
- Prepare patients for examinations or procedures, including explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout their visit
- Support clinical procedures
- Manage medical documentation accurately, including ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures to ensure proper billing and recordkeeping
- Assist with outpatient care coordination across various departments such as internal medicine
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards
Skills
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to effectively support clinical activities
- Experience working in clinics a plus
- Proficiency with EHR systems to document patient encounters efficiently and accurately
- Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations
- Ability to perform clinical tasks such as intake assessments, and vital signs collectio
- Knowledge of ICD coding standards for accurate diagnosis documentation and billing processes
