We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Attendant to join our team and ensure the cleanliness and proper handling of textiles and linens. Responsibilities
- Operate industrial laundry machines, including washers, dryers, and garment care equipment, ensuring proper settings for different textile types
- Handle laundry materials with care, including sorting, folding, and organizing linens and garments efficiently
- Use push carts and other tools to transport heavy loads safely throughout the facility while adhering to safety protocols
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas by performing routine sanitation tasks in accordance with safety standards in production
- Follow laundry procedures for stain removal, textile cleaning, dry cleaning, and proper use of laundry detergents
- Assist with materials handling tasks such as loading/unloading machines and managing inventory of supplies
- Adhere strictly to safety standards and protocols during all manual handling activities to prevent injuries or accidents
Qualifications
- Prior experience in cleaning, laundry services, or textile cleaning is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently using proper techniques
- Basic math skills for measuring detergents, sorting textiles, and maintaining records
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and ability to follow safety protocol adherence at all times
- Strong customer service orientation with a positive attitude toward teamwork and communication
- Familiarity with garment care machine operation, industrial dryers, and dry cleaning processes is a plus but not mandatory
- Demonstrated ability to handle materials carefully while maintaining high sanitation standards
