Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and efficient Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our manufacturing factory warehouse team. This fast-paced role requires expertise in logistics, including forklift operation, creating Bills of Lading (BOLs), and overseeing all activities on the dock related to shipping and receiving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all shipping and receiving activities in the warehouse.
- Operate forklifts to load and unload shipments efficiently and safely.
- Create accurate and detailed Bills of Lading (BOLs) for all outgoing shipments.
- Schedule trucks for shipments and coordinate with third-party logistics providers.
- Use the company’s ERP system to log shipping and receiving information.
- Determine shipping pricing and apply appropriate markups.
- Create shipping labels and ensure proper inventory control.
- Monitor and manage the inventory of shipping supplies and materials.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving transactions.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and timely logistics operations.
- Assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed to support overall operations.
Qualifications:
- 40/Hr. Work Weeks - Reliability, punctual clock-in
- Experience in shipping and receiving within a warehouse setting.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts.
- Ability to create accurate Bills of Lading (BOLs).
- Experience with ERP systems for logging shipping and receiving information.
- Knowledge of shipping pricing and markups.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and ensure inventory control.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
