Overview
We are actively seeking experienced Independent Contract Couriers (ICCs) to handle the pickup and delivery of medical and pharmacy shipments within the Mobile, AL area. The role demands the use of personal transportation, auto insurance, a mobile smartphone, and relevant supplies, alongside a responsibility to undergo HIPAA certification to ensure compliance and efficiency in job execution.
The position involves coordinating the successful pickup and delivery 15-25 plus shipments daily. Schedules and working days are subject to variation. The ICCs will be expected to cover both Next Day and Same Day shipments. Couriers (ICCs) will utilize a mobile application for capturing delivery proof and for route optimization, which can be tailored to individual preferences. Responsibilities
- Safely transport shipments between designated locations.
- Ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Verify delivery details, obtain signatures, and document all transactions accurately for record-keeping purposes.
- Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of your vehicle to ensure optimal performance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes.
Skills
- Proven experience in delivery driving or courier services.
- Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with healthcare staff and clients.
- Familiarity with route driving, GPS navigation, and time management for efficient deliveries.
- Knowledge of driving regulations, safety protocols, and vehicle maintenance best practices.
- Previous experience with courier services within healthcare or medical environments is a plus.
Prior experience as an Independent Contractor with valid EIN required.
