St. Rose of Lima Catholic School in Miami Shores, Florida, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic full-time Paraprofessional for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will be nurturing, dependable, and committed to supporting student learning in a faith-filled environment. The Paraprofessional will work closely with the classroom teacher to foster academic growth, promote positive student behavior, support small-group instruction, and contribute to a safe and engaging learning environment.

Qualifications
- Associate degree preferred; college coursework in education or a related field is a plus.
- Prior experience working with children in an educational setting preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with classroom teachers, administrators, and fellow staff members.
- Ability to supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of students.
- Demonstrated ability to support the academic, social, and emotional needs of students both individually and in group settings.
- Ability to assist with classroom instruction, small-group activities, and student supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with educational technology, including Google Workspace and iPad devices, preferred.
- First Aid and CPR certification a plus.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and participation in required meetings and trainings.
- Must possess a professional demeanor and adhere to school policies and dress code requirements.
- Must be supportive of and respectful toward the mission and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
- Knowledge of the basic tenets of the Catholic faith preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist the classroom teacher with instructional activities, classroom management, and preparation of materials.
- Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
- Supervise students during classroom activities, recess, lunch, dismissal, and other assigned duties.
- Help maintain a positive, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
- Support the implementation of school-wide policies and procedures.
- Assist with clerical and organizational tasks as needed.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, school events, and other activities as assigned.
- Foster positive relationships with students, families, faculty, and staff.
Schedule Requirements
Paraprofessionals work Monday-Friday from 7:30am-3:30pm are also required to assist with the supervision of the school's After School Care Program each school day from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Additional duties may be assigned based on school needs.
