Looking for WEEKEND NURSE to join our team of nursing.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care by performing physical examinations, vital signs monitoring, and health assessments with precision and compassion.
- Administer medications and injections safely while adhering to established protocols and HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Manage medical documentation accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems.
- Educate patients and their families on health coaching topics including medication management, nutrition, dementia, and discharge planning for outpatient or post-acute settings.
- Participate in infection control practices and aseptic techniques during all clinical procedures to promote a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current certification to practice.
- Proven experience in diverse clinical settings such as long-term care facilities
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks for documentation and patient records management.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology related to medication administration, and vital signs assessment
- Excellent communication skills for triage assessments, patient education, family interactions, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
