Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items efficiently while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing, payment handling, and cashiering duties
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and upselling menu items to enhance sales
- Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, sanitizing workstations, and ensuring the dining area is inviting and organized
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change
- Assist with food handling tasks such as stocking supplies, managing food storage, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
- Support the team with food industry best practices including serving customers promptly, managing time effectively, and ensuring food quality standards are met
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests
- Ability to handle food safely with proper sanitation practices; experience in food handling is advantageous
- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales transactions, and inventory management
- Capable of standing for extended periods, working in a fast-paced environment, and multitasking efficiently
- Experience in cashiering, bussing tables, or serving in a café or grocery store setting is beneficial
